Rattan is the core component of reed diffusers. After long-term use, it will absorb dust and essential oil precipitation, leading to weakened fragrance diffusion and needing timely replacement. Aroma experts share replacement guides to refresh the fragrance. First, judge the replacement time.

The service life of rattan is 30-45 days. If the aroma is obviously faded, the surface is black and sticky, or there is mold and peculiar smell, it needs to be replaced immediately. Prepare tools: new rattan (wooden preferred), paper towels, gloves, and replenish essential oil if the remaining amount is less than 1/3.

Replacement steps: first take out the old rattan, wipe the bottle mouth and body with paper towels to avoid dust residue; cut the new rattan into a bevel to increase the fragrance absorption area and soak in essential oil for 10 minutes; insert 4-6 (small bottle) or 8-10 (large bottle) according to the capacity, turn over once 2-3 hours after the first insertion, and turn over every 3-5 days later.

Notes: Do not reuse old rattan to avoid polluting essential oil; avoid touching the surface of essential oil at the bottom of the bottle when inserting to prevent impurities from mixing. Replace the rattan correctly to make the reed diffuser continuously release a strong aroma.
